Sardar Patel Birth Anniversary Celebration 31 Oct 2017 - 4.45pm

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary falls on the October 31, 2017 and an annual commemoration, known as the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, is celebrated every year.

Our Mission would be holding an event at 3 Moonah Pl, Yarralumla, to mark the occasion, which would include:

  1. 4:45pm - An exhibition of some of the rare photographs on the life and times of Sardar Patel.
  2. 5:30pm - A talk "The Greatness of Sardar Patel"
  3. 5:45pm - Screening of short documentaries on Life and Time of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
We welcome members of the Indian diaspora, Friends of India and their families and friends to visit us on October 31 and join us in celebrating the birth anniversary of a great Indian.

Membership Renewal

If you are not a member we request you to become a member. Please fill in the membership form - scan and send or give it to a committee member or call Shri Basu Banka (0408 504467) and discuss it with him.

Those who paid their annual membership between 1 June 2016 and 31 May 2017 have till 31 May 2018 to renew their membership. All those who have paid their annual membership after 31 May 2017 but before 31 May 2018 will be eligible to vote in the 2018 AGM. Those who become members after 31 May 2018 will not be eligible to vote in the 2018 AGM.

Hindu Educational Foundation - Gita Chanting Pranali (Adhyaya 1-6) Wed 30 Aug – Fri 27 Oct 2017

We will be starting Gita Chanting class at the temple from Wednesday 30 August – Friday 27 October 2017. The classe will be held every Wednesday and Friday from 19-00-20.00 PM. Help available with cooking for Puja Sponsors

Many devotees desire to sponsor puja at the Temple but hesitate because of the extra work. Shri Gaurav, a chef, is available to help with cooking and cleaning. He has been helping in the Temple for the last 5 years. He can do all vegetarians dishes, salads, and desserts. Please provide the ingredients and then we can cook in the Temple.
