Welcome to the Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre, serving devotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of people in Canberra.


The temple is open Mon - Fri 8:00 - 9:00am & 6:00 - 8.30pm, Sat 7:30 - 8.30am; 10:00 - 12.30pm & 6:00 - 8.30pm, Sun 8:00am - 1:00pm and 6:00 - 8:30pm. The morning Arati is at 8:00am and the evening Arati is at 7:00pm.


The Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre (HTCC) is located at 81, Ratcliffe Crescent, Florey Canberra and it is the one of the first temples to be built in Nations Capital. This temple helps to promote and flourish the richness of the Hindu religion, culture, and philosophy.

Srimad Bhagwat Katha Saturday 6 May - Saturday 13 May 2017 at the HTCC

Shrimad Bhagawat Katha program will be held as part of celebration of 30th Anniversary of HTCC. It is a unique opportunity to listen the philosophical meaning of Bhagwat Katha.

Shri Jagdishbhai Trivedi is from Sydney and he has done Katha in Fiji, NewZeeland , USA. He will be accompanied by Shri Jayantibhai Mehta from New Zeeland on Harmonium and local artists will provide support in Tabala and other musical instruments.

Detail program is as follows:

  • 6th May, 7th May and 13 May - Morning 9.30am to 12.30 PM
  • 8th May to 12th May – Evening 6.30 PM. to 9.00pm
Specific Events
  • 6th May Saturday - 9.30am – Pothi Yatra ( Procession of Bhagawatm) will leave from Shri Prashantbhai’s home (2/83 Ratcliffe Crescent) and arrive at temple.
  • 10th May – Wednesday 7.30 PM – Krishna Janma- A Zankhi of Shri Vasudev and baby Krishna . If any parents of young boy would like to take part, please contact Pundit ji.
  • 13th May – 9.30am to 12.00 PM – Purnahuti- Samapan.

All the devotees are invited to a public discourse by Swami Shrikaranandaji on Saturday, 20 May 2017, between 5.30-7.30pm on "What is our duty?" as given in the Bhagavad Gita. Swamiji will also delight children in the Bal-Vihar on Sunday 21 May between 10.30am-12noon. All are welcome.
