Welcome to the Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre, serving devotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of people in Canberra.


The temple is open Mon - Fri 8:00 - 9:00am & 6:00 - 8.30pm, Sat 7:30 - 8.30am; 10:00 - 12.30pm & 6:00 - 8.30pm, Sun 8:00am - 1:00pm and 6:00 - 8:30pm. The morning Arati is at 8:00am and the evening Arati is at 7:00pm.


The Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre (HTCC) is located at 81, Ratcliffe Crescent, Florey Canberra and it is the one of the first temples to be built in Nations Capital. This temple helps to promote and flourish the richness of the Hindu religion, culture, and philosophy.

After seven days of Ramayan Path and Shata Chandi Yajna with 108 families participating and culminating in Bhagwan Shri Ram Janma Utsav on Tuesday 4 April, Wednesday 5 April will see the beginning of yet another unique ritual: Maha Mariamman Pooja, which will commence with Jhanda Ropan at 6.30 pm.

This Pooja will be conducted outside in the temporary Temple being built. All devotees are requested to exercise extreme care when outside the main Temple premises.

Please note the following:

  • Special Thalis will be prepared, with offerings and blessed by Pujaris, which devotees may wish to offer to Goddess Shakti;
  • Cordoned area will remain out of bounds so please do take care of your children; On Saturday evening members of the visiting group taking part in the penance will walk on fire (embers) spread over eleven meters;
  • The walk will take place anytime between 6.00pm and 9.00pm so please exercise patience and restraint;
  • Parking will be available on lower car park, Radcliffe Cres, the shopping centre and the school;
  • Bhojan Prashad will be served during the evening;
  • Seats may be limited and you are requested to see that the senior citizens and people who are disabled are accorded the usual courtesy.
